Nova Cloud Assistant is a personal AI assistant that lives in Discord. The assistant I wanted, so I built it, built to handle the small stuff, so I can focus on what matters.

Architecture Highlights

• Discord Bot: Built with discord.py and hosted 24/7 on Railway, with slash commands, DMs, and @mentions.
• LLM Backend: AWS Bedrock for managed model inference with no local GPU requirements.
• Persistent Context: Per-user isolated S3 storage via Boto3. Uploaded PDF, DOCX, and text files are parsed and saved.
• Command Engine: Task and note commands run without a model call, reducing token consumption and response latency.
• Health Tracking: Plain-text /log entries are validated before saving, and /health reviews weekly trends.

SJU Campus Hub is a centralized ecosystem designed to connect the St. John's community. We built this to solve the fragmentation of campus information, creating a hub for student life.

• Unified Event Tracking: Real-time information on campus activities, club meetings, and study sessions.
• Team Collaboration: Developed in the St. John's Hacks 2025hackathon in a team of 3 as the lead frontend developer.
• Modern Deployment: Optimized for performance using HTML/CSS and JavaScript being hosted via Vercel for seamless access.

AdaptIQ is an intelligent PowerPoint Add-on that bridges the gap between slide design and active research. Built to streamline the workflow for professionals, it acts as a real-time sidekick during the content creation process.

Key Innovations

• Context Parsing: Analyzes slide text via OpenAI to understand the core subject matter.
• Automated Imagery: Integrated DALL-E API to generate visuals based on the content.
• Deep Research: Leverages the Tavily API to pull real-time data and citations directly into the presentation.

Tempo C++ is a personal chess archive for game analysis. It downloads directly from chess.com and lichess.

What It Does

• Stockfish Review: Marks every blunder, gives a score, and shows a live evaluation bar with best-moves. Runs several engines at once, about 5x faster than a single engine.
• Stats and Openings: Win rate by color and opening, rating history, and an opening explorer that shows what you have played in each position and how it scored.
• Opponent Scouting: Load another player's games and get their most common lines, best and worst openings, and my record against them. Tested on an archive of 140,000+ games.
• AI Assistant: I can ask "what are my weaknesses as white?" in the chat. Claude looks up the relevant games to answer, includes a Fast, Balanced or Detailed setting trading speed for depth and cost.

Video Recap was born from a simple problem: the information density of YouTube is too high for quick consumption. This tool uses AI to transform long-form video transcripts into digestible, high-level summaries.

The Stack

• AI Orchestration: Utilized OpenRouter AI to access the best-performing LLMs for text summarization.
• Natural Language Processing: Integrated Hugging Face Transformers to refine the transcript analysis process.
• Data Retrieval: Automated the extraction of YouTube transcripts to ensure 100% accuracy in source data.
